Even if we had not belted out this Mary Poppins tune at last night’s sunset session, I think the multi-syllabic gem would be a good description. What a pleasant surprise it was to meet the charming family who bid on the session and storyboard I donated to the Mount Pleasant Academy auction. The sweet sisters are so cute, and we had a nice evening ambling along the old Pitt Street bridge that enabled beachgoers to hop the trolley to Sullivans Island from 1898 to 1927.
Fishermen, spaniels, a container ship, shore birds, salty breezes and weathered wood made the perfect backdrop for a relaxed family session. Throw in a cartwheel or two and some pier ballet… that’s the stuff. Like Mary sang 40+ years ago, “…a song will move the job along.” Wonder how long these tunes will play in my head? Long enough to inspire captions, at least.
