Two’s Company | Daniel Island Family Photography

Robyn, little Libby and I had a fun morning at a Daniel Island park. Robyn’s second daughter is due to arrive in a few more weeks (doesn’t she look fantastic!?), and she wanted a few shots just hanging out with her firstborn, marveling in her Twoness.

I don’t typically shoot maternity photography. Frankly, the trends of the genre are a bit creepy to me, so I leave it to those who specialize in it. That said, I was more than happy to document this gorgeous mom-to-be, who I last saw in an appletini bridesmaid dress at DeBordieu. I do enjoy unscripted family sessions, just watching kids as they explore, find treasures and ponder things.

As much as we all document the “big stuff” like first days of school, a lost tooth, costumes, birthdays and performances, so much of what’s magical about kids is the everyday stuff. Hopefully a few of these images will serve as a reminder of how gorgeous a pregnant mom can be and how special a little QT with a cutie can be. I know Libby will be a great big sis — even if she doesn’t get her way with the name she’s picked out for the baby.

Girls have lots to tell their moms. Even if they are only two.

Two's company. Will three be a crowd? Not for long if you're the big sis.
So Mama. I'll always be your number one girl, right?
