A Bride’s Morning | The Sanctuary at Kiawah

I’m in a frenzy of editing, but I just had to take a breather to share some images from the morning of Monica’s wedding day. Sort of a Day in the Life thing. Yes, boys, this is why the ladies start early, while you’re golfing or napping or sipping that Bloody Mary with a late brunch. It’s so much more than throwing on a nice frock.

They open lovely gifts that were handmade by the bride and her mom. They share laughs (about Spanx and the groom’s childhood creative endeavors). They nosh on tasty sandwiches and chocolate-covered berries. They sip mimosas while sporting rollers in their hair. (Don’t kill me Sam; you’re adorable even before the Brigitte Bardot results!) They iron sashes and assist with wardrobe. They touch up pedicures on a balcony overlooking the sea. They laugh some more. They scramble to relocate the Something Blue. They gasp in delight, sing “Going to the Chapel” and shed a tear or two. Most of all, they soak it in. Monica was so filled with joy over every moment of her day! Here are some highlights of how it all started.

(And now that I’ve blogged the rest of the wedding, you might enjoy the full post from their fantabulous wedding day.)
