This DeBordieu Club wedding was simply fabulous! Liz and Andrew live in NYC and chose to marry at the beach colony where her family has enjoyed lots of wonderful times together. Liz is a Carolina Tarheel, so it’s easy to see why Andrew fell for her. His mom, brothers and buddies from the northeast had no problem adapting to the easy pace of this coastal haven. Liz and Andrew’s wedding was both relaxed and elegant with juicy citrus decor at both the ceremony and reception venues.
I had the pleasure of taking the couple’s engagement pictures (on her dad’s boat, “Tie the Knot”) and tagging along on Liz’s first gown fitting at Maddison Row. A few weeks prior to the wedding, I headed up the road again for Liz’s bridal session at Atalaya and DeBordieu. Congrats again to this handsome couple! Stay tuned for a separate reception post from their tented soiree at the Blue Heron beach club. There’s just too much beauty and fun to pare down into one post.
Liz’s recommended vendors for a DeBordieu Club wedding include Della Ramsey (wedding planner extraordinaire), florals by Blossoms Events, Stox & Co. salon and calligrapher Traci Green. Andrew and his groomsmen look oh-so-dapper in their linen suits by J. Crew.
I love this bit of randomness. I photographed the tree on the right the day I met Liz for her bridal portrait session. The windsock with two hearts was blowing in the breeze on her mom’s porch the morning of the wedding.
I photographed the beautiful invitation suite (by Traci Green Designs) while Liz penned a note to her fiance.
The middle shot of the funny relative is one of many fantastic captures by Ashley Gillett, who was assisting me with this wedding. I love how the baby goes from weepy to happy thanks to his jubilant relative!
This DeBordieu club wedding ceremony is a wrap. On to the fantastic reception by the beach – take a look! Congrats to Andrew and Liz!
