Mandy and Brandon’s small and stylish Upstairs at Midtown wedding wrapped up my season perfectly! The couple traveled from Ohio to host a rooftop ceremony at a charming historic location on Charleston’s King Street. We started with a few photos in Wild Dunes, where they’d rented beach houses. When Mandy expanded her photography budget thanks to a relative’s gift, we were able to make time for some portraits around town before heading to the venue. Having comfortable transportation for the wedding party made this an easy way to see a bit more of Charleston before arriving for the ceremony and reception.
I love the unique elements Mandy and Brandon chose. This venue is great for more intimate events, and it was a perfect evening for an outdoor ceremony before the rooftop was transformed with the addition of a cigar station and bourbon bar. Mandy chose a nearby French chocolatier to make a croquembouche instead of a traditional wedding cake, and Christophe also made other treats and macarons for takeaways as guests left the fun wedding.
Congratulations to Mandy and Brandon! It was a pleasure documenting your Upstairs at Midtown wedding and working with these great wedding vendors:
